Mudgas Tube
Introducing the New Mudgas Tube
Introducing the Mudgas Tube®. Designed specifically for collection of mud gases intended for subsequent chemical and isotopic analysis. Now you can SEE what is inside (or rather. . . what's not). These new, transparent, mud gas sampling containers will allow the user to identify contamination (water, mud, etc.) before a problem arises.

Isotope data comparison of samples collected using standard mudgas sampling manifolds

Mudgas Tubes were intended to function in much the same way as traditional flow-through mud gas sampling tubes. One of the major differences is the valve we utilize. As such, Mudgas Tubes utilize red and black "valve actuators" to mate up with pre-existing mud gas sampling manifolds. No modifications are necessary when using Mudgas Tubes for mud gas collection. We also provide "overcaps" to protect the valves during return shipment. Once in the laboratory, the red/black actuators can be removed to access the valve stem underneath. Simply pull the actuators straight off, and use your preferred means of connection for extracting sample for subsequent analysis. Mudgas Tube valves can be opened either by depressing or tilting the valve stem.

Mudgas Tube Sampling Manifold
Available for purchase or exchange.
If this sampling manifold looks familiar. . . it should. We aren't trying to change sampling protocols or sampling methods. We're just trying to improve upon the container. As such, we are now manufacturing and providing for purchase, "flow-through" gas sampling manifolds like the ones you are familiar with.
To sample with these manifolds simply plug your 1/4" flow line into the inlet and outlet ports on the back of the manifold, and then insert a tube for subsequent sample collection. When you are ready to collect a sample, remove the tube and replace it with a new one.
If you are in need of a manifold for your sampling campaign, or if you currently have manifolds to exchange (for a discount), we can assist you here as well. If you'd like to purchase a new manifold, please contact us.
Pressurized Sampling
Pressurized Sampling Device
Though the primary use for Mudgas Tubes is aimed at flow-through, mud gas logging sample collection, they are also suitable for other sample types, including pressurized samples like wellhead and bradenhead sampling. Our regulating sampling device drops pressures from a maximum of 3000 psig, down to the recommended <15 psig for sampling into one of our Mudgas Tube receptacles. (See how to use it here)

Mud Jar™
Precision Sampling for Modern Geochemistry™
Precision Sampling Device
Aliquot’s Mud Jar™ advances drill cuttings sampling for mud-gas isotope logging (MGIL) and well characterization. Designed to complement Mudgas Tubes®, this fully transparent, 100% recyclable jar ensures precise, standardized collection of desorbed
gases and cuttings. Innovative features include internal baffles and a dedicated gas extraction site.

Tire-Stem/Schrader Valve Adapter
Valve Adapters
During the development of our Mudgas Tubes, it became quickly apparent that we needed to provide a solution for laboratories already adapted to tire-stem/Schrader valves. This adapter allows the user to open and close the valve on our Mudgas Tubes in a controlled manner, while also providing a means of isolating and evacuating the dead volume between the Mudgas Tube valve and the Schrader valve.
See how to use it here.

Versitile Valve Attachments
Our new valves allow for a number of different types of attachment (shown here are several male "Luer slip" fittings, available from qosina.com)
